Polymaker Launches New High-Speed PLA That Prints at 500mm/s

Polymaker has released HS-PLA, a new formulation designed specifically for the latest generation of high-speed printers. The material maintains consistent extrusion and layer adhesion at speeds up to 500mm/s — well beyond where standard PLA starts to under-extrude or delaminate.

The secret is a modified polymer chain that reduces melt viscosity at high flow rates. In testing on a Bambu Lab X1C, HS-PLA produced clean prints at 400mm/s with no visible quality loss compared to 100mm/s.

Available in 12 colors at $24.99 per spool. Polymaker claims the material is also more dimensionally stable than standard PLA, with ±0.02mm diameter tolerance.
